Hi-Tech is building Tomorrow's World Today. Welcome to the 21st century.
It is no secret that IHI is one of my favorite long term investing themes.
While an aggressive, high risk, high reward investment, I nonetheless strongly
believe that this will be one stellar company. In this posting section,
I have put together previous and current IHI postings.
Since Gold soared from XAU 60 to XAU 90, we are looking at two unfulfilled (to date) 1999 forecasts: The US and Japaneses market declines, like Christmas, is coming soon, and IHI's meteoric rise, which is long over due and may arrive before May 2000. Whether it is $3 this year or next doesn't matter, because I strongly believe IHI is the perfect 21st century stock and a long term hold to $5, $10, $30 and eventually $100.
When I was first learning business, the business modus operanti was:
Price, Speed, Quality... Choose any two!
That is the OLD 20th century business model. In the 21st
century, High Technology companies like IHI will offer all three:
Price, Speed AND Quality. Enough said.
Intermediate Term, we have two contrasting forces:
Negatively, there could be Tax loss selling (if any) and positively,
the January effect for small cap stocks. I do not foresee extensive
tax loss selling for two reasons. First, most of the stock is in
strong hands and second, many investors may be creamed with realized losses
in 1999 elsewhere. IHI's horoscope turns very positive on October
28, so we can expect a recovery above $1 CD and approaching the $1.20 level.
Should strongly positive news be released, the stock will test the $1.60
level. Even if not, that should become the floor in Spring 2000.
READER: Will IHI just pull out Excalibur and over come all the obstacles
you foresee?
HW: It is astrologically fully capable of doing so, especially when
the Bermuda Horoscope becomes dominant. I still find the risk/reward
and probability of this speculative investment outstanding.
Reg Odgen of Canaccord came up with an interesting response for long
time IHI investors: When clients speak of waiting for 4 years for
IHI stock to move up, he says: "Why go to the Olympics and stop at the
National Anthem?"
READER: In an article on earthquakes (The New York Times' "Science Times", Sept. 28, 1999), William Broad wrote that the apparent sudden increase in earthquakes is no increase at all. Rather there have been numerically less this year but more have occurred in densely populated areas.
Here's the clincher: he writes, "More bad luck is coming. Experts agree....the world's population explosion means that more people are moving into quake zones which are often near the coasts (resulting) in the prospect of continuing trauma as urban areas erupt with what seems like endless bursts of destruction."
As an IHI investor, I want to know if IHI is factoring this information into their market offering. As you have been seen their operation, can you confirm whether or not they are aggressively taking these scientific projections into account in their business plan? Is their product designed to be 'earthquake resistant'? Will it sell?
READER: By the way Re: IHI - I have been accumulating some more.
I recently returned from a 3 week visit to India to meet two of my
Hindu Astrology gurus for detailed study of various charts and to learn
therefrom. They so clearly and quickly explained from Roger's chart why
there have been delays and obstacles in his ventures, when the best "dashsa"
period is about to start which will make him a powerful figure, and even
a full physical description of Roger (down to his front two long teeth
with a slight gap in between!!) This and other information I learnt has
given me further confidence and encouragement to invest up to US $100K
in IHI and hold it for at least 4 years."
